Plexiglass Sheets in Black & White
Authentic plexiglass acrylic sheets are offered in various shades of opaque black and white for lighting, lighted signs, and solid signs. Black sheets are available from 1/16" to 1.00" thick and white sheets from 1/16" to 1/2" thick. Most thicker variations can be ordered through special order.
Please note: light transmission of white plexiglass sheets (also known as white acrylic plate) change with thickness. Therefore 1/8" 2447 lighting white will transmit more light than 3/16" 2447. Basically the thicker the white, the less the light transmitted. This is true with all white and translucent color sheets. There may be small differences in color between manufacturers and between batches, but the colors do not change with thickness.
White plexiglass color and application guidelines:
- 2447 - 50% light transmission for lighting, light boxes and tables
- 7328 - 31% light transmission for backlit signs
- 7508 - 9% light transmission for non-lit signs
- 3015 - 3% light transmission for non-lit signs
