Sanding resin is the standard polyester surfboard laminating resin used throughout the surfing industry, and is used for the sanding coat on surfboards. Our sanding resin for sale is similar to laminating resin with sanding agent already added. Also known as "Hot Coat" resin.
Laminating resin is used for applying the cloth to surfboards. This resin dries tacky and therefore is not sandable it is made to apply more resin to it. To make it sandable, sanding resin needs to be applied.
Gloss resin is used to put the shinny finish on the surfboard, it is typically the last coat of resin applied. This resin already has surfacing agent and special polymers to make it buff out to a great luster.
