Plexiglass Sheet - Abrasion Resistant
Plexiglass acrylic sheet in abrasion resistant coating - protect against light scratches, abrasions, and many chemicals. Available with coatings on 1 or 2 sides.
The strength and break resistance of plastic can be enhanced with coatings such as Noxstat's TEC 2000™ to be made nearly as scratch and abrasion resistant as glass.
OPTIX Abrasion Resistant Anti-Static Acrylic Sheet
* Superior resistance to, and control of, electrostatic discharge.
* Used for high-tech electronics such as LCDs, projection TV screens, instrument clusters and cell phone displays.
Applications for AR Coatings (both plexiglass and polycarbonate) can be used to enhance safety and aesthetics in almost any application:
Machine Covers and Panels
Computer Face Plates
Bus and RV Windows
Edge Lighted Menu Boards
Chemical & Solvent Resistance (with saturated cotton balls for 30 min).
Ethylene Glycol Anti-Freeze
Heavy Duty Detergent
Heavy Duty Brake Fluid
Transmission Fluid (Type A)
Other coatings can be applied as well:
product offering includes NOXTAT™ static dissipative coatings, TEC 2000™ abrasion resistant and chemical resistant coatings, TEC SATIN 2000™ non-glare coatings, OPTEC 2000™ abrasion resistant coating for lenses, face shields and other optically clear protective needs.
Thickness tolerances are plus/minus 10% on acrylic sheet. Thickness can vary throughout the sheet. Normally we see plus/minus 5% or less differences. Use this list as a guide converting fractions to what is actually produced industry-wide.
