Vinyl films have been in the marketplace since the mid 20th century. The product is manufactured by extruding the plastic through a series of rollers that put a "calendared" texture on both sides. Secondary processing of the surface is accomplished by pressing the vinyl film between 2 plates. This can produce a sheet with a combination of a polish or matte surface on one or two sides. You can write on the calendared and matte finish with pencils and pens. Vinyl Film is normally available in thicknesses of 0.010", 0.015" and 0.020" in 21" x 51" sheets. Vinyl film is available as: P/P - polish/polish - polished on both sides P/M - polish/matte - polished one side, matte one side M/M - matte/matte - matte both sides Calendared - the Original finish which is like a heavy matte surface finish ePlastics can cut to size any of these products and roll stock is available by special order.
