Plexiglass Drilling Charges

ePlastics offers Plexiglass drilling into Plexiglas sheet either from exact dimensions or templates.

We charge by the number of holes, the diameter of the hold, and by how thick the material is. The interior finish of the hold will be a SATIN finish from all of these processes.

We sell Plexiglass Drill Bits in the Accessories section - it's really easy to drill with the RIGHT drill bit - and really easy to crack or chip the Plexi using a metal bit. Check out the Literature Library for "How to Drill Plexiglass".

Hole drilling is done in 3 basic methods:

1. From a drill bit in our stock - we have a large selection of existing bits and hole saws that we use for power drilling out your hole.

2. CNC machine your hole - for multiple small holes, or for thicker 1/2" and up material, we'll use our CNC machinery to drill a perfect hole for you. CNC machined holes can be ANY diameter to a very close tolerance.

We do not normally countersink or counterbore holes in Plexiglass (although we do in most other materials). Mechanical fasteners used with Plexiglass should NOT use countersinking as a general rule. Because the Plexiglass expands and contracts far more than other materials, a pan head screw with a finishing washer is the ideal fastener. Remember, hand tighten then back off a quarter turn to let the material move.
